Updates

Oh god..
Can you believe it!?
Only 23 days to go!!

Though I am pretty sure you'll arrive early. Most first-time preggers go over the 40 weeks. I on the other hand have good beliefs that you'll come earlier *wink*

Monday was the appointment with Dr Chandler. Your heart rate was a very good 149bpm and you didn't kick the doc when she pressed down to check your position. Still in cephalic position (which has been since 28weeks!) and everything else is fine.

I don't think I've mentioned our visit to Fetal Fotos. On March 17th marks the day we saw you on 4D image. You've chubby cheeks and hair! Also, most important thing is, we saw your labia =) Of course by then it has thickened and so easy to see! Now we're doing baby shopping with confidence =)

I am so uncomfortable these days. Yes, I am ready to have the baby at this point. They say closer to the end of pregnancy, labour and delivery wouldn't seem too scary anymore. You're so uncomfortable being big and restless, you'd want the baby out now.. now.. NOW! Of course it was hard for me to believe that at 10 weeks preggo. But now I wish I'm back at second trimester where everything was fun, comfortable and looked great! Well, I do remember wishing second trimester would never end!

Just couple days ago I decided to give Kim (my hairdresser) a visit. Been quite some time since the last and I badly need one. Don't think I'd have time for it once you arrive. She gave such good massage and pampered me so well I almost fell asleep in the chair! And believe me when I said almost. Especially in my condition with getting such little sleep nowdays. I know it's such a simple gesture but oh dear me, I don't think I've felt so good for such a long, long, time! Such an excellent treat! I suppose the environment, the smell, the soothing words, gave such, such, pleasant feeling by the end of it - the fact that I'm pregnant certainly helps! That bits of extra attention=) Just something a tired, worn-out, uncomfortable preggie lady need. I'd say. My only advice to any preggie lady out there.. go get yourself pampered! Even to a good saloon helps! Oh and of course she cropped off all those nasty split-ends and made my hair looked more like its taken care of. Trust me, it has been SO SO long!

Now that baby needs are all complete, Mama called last night and said she's posting more baby stuff. And yes, she is coming over very soon. No, I don't know why she insists on posting things when she can bring them over together with her. Yes, I have suggested it but she insists. So in few days we'll receive a baby parcel. Let's hope its not 5kgs like last year's Raya postage.

I'm feeling more relaxed now that we've setup the nursery and have all baby essentials at hand. For when those Braxton Hicks contractions come by, I just let it come and try to focus on my breathing than freaking out and trying to hold it in! Yes, I've done that few times and most times without even realizing it! Mental note: never leave baby essentials shopping to the last minute!

Yesterday was laundry day. All our laundry and baby's clothes have been cleaned. Baby's with the special detergent that claimed to be odourless, so I mixed it with our liquid softener and they all turned out smelling minty. I hope you don't mind! They're all sorted in their respective places and some are in the baby bag. Burnside Hospital mentioned it is only necessary to bring one take-baby-home outfit as they provide the rest of baby's essentials, diapers and clothes at the hospital during our stay so we don't really have to pack any. Of course I'd prefer to bring your own outfits. And being such an indecisive person I sometimes am, I end up throwing almost all of your size 0000 outfits in the bag. I'm sure you won't even need a quarter of them at the hospital anyway. I do plan to keep the bag in our car so when the time comes, we'd inform the hospital and just pick the bag up, drive away! But as you probably can tell, at the moment I'm having such tremendous time taking things in and out of it, I decided to leave the bag at our doorway =p

This PUPPPS is very annoying. And of course with the heat last few days it just appeared again and decided to make my condition worse. As if I'm not uncomfortable enough. Ugh!

Ah! Did I mention I've developed a new habit? Munching on ice! Especially when the temperature gets higher than usual, I can't seem to stop! So a good stock of ice cubes in the freezer is all I need now. Well, at least it keeps me hydrated =)

Today we'll be heading to the immigration and get some things sorted, then off to the market! Aida's dropping by on Friday and I've decided to organize some chicken rendang which she had missed at Diba's bday party the other day. Good way to keep my mind off certain things! Also, I've been scouching around for some cupcakes recipes. I need the distraction, please.
