Today at the hospital (Papa's admitted for blood count too low) I gave you a glass of water and while drinking, I heard 'clink-clunk' sounds. Immediately my thought goes, "..is that what I think it is??" Excitedly, I gently pull down your lower lip (it is not as easy as you think while you struggle and pushed me away) and saw a faint, tiny, horizontal white line appearing on your lower front gum. Just one. And boy that made me so excited, baby. I don't know about other mommies out there but somehow it just made me feel triumph.
Quite strange.
Not that I've been thinking about it too much. I wasn't expecting you to start having teeth til maybe closer to 1 year old although they say babies generally start having teeth from 7 months. Nevertheless, Mommy's very proud of you darling. At 10 months and only a couple days shy from your 11 month-old bday, your first tooth just cut through. Well done!
On a different note, Mommy's down with a horrible flu. My upper face feels tight, real bad sore throat, cough, high temperature, the works. Mommy has 3 days MC but is feeling rather lousy for not able to work on an important day like today (especially when she can claim OT!), no not because of that. It is not a good feeling when you've just started working and taking 3 days off work for being sick. Then again, I hate when flu attacks! - who doesn't?
