Dear Baby,
I hope you don't inherit Daddy's snore but my soundless sleep.
Love, Mommy.
I hope you don't inherit Daddy's snore but my soundless sleep.
Love, Mommy.
I've been up and walkabout at 7 every morning since the news of you. Last night just before falling asleep I felt a gush of strong sore in my breasts, thinking to myself "this is it. The symptoms are coming." Daddy and I talked a little about you but I can't seem to recall what it was about. Mommy almost dozed off in the middle of our conversation. Oh yes he was mentioning to get a large headphone to put on my tummy when you're big enough and plays classical music. Daddy's a fan of classical music and plays guitar very well. I hope you're music-inclined. I hope you dance. I hope you play the guitar. I hope you appreciate music just like the both of us.
Today we're going to the shops and get some accessories for kitten. Daddy and I are so excited about the kitten. Oh shucks Daddy just peered by and said (you were not soundless last night!) Ok in my defense, it was blocked nose. Seriously, we get that during early pregnancy. Someone please agree with me!!
Yesterday I was talking to my friend dear Renae, her mom's a registered nurse, asking if I can request a C-sect without any medical reasons. Yes Mommy's not very good handling pain. Unfortunately, she said no though Mommy thinks she should bribe the doc. Oh and also bribe him for drugs. Sigh. Despite many opinions on delivery methods, Mommy's still convinced she can handle Caesarean (auto as she calls it) than the traditional (yes, you got it, manual) method. Maybe it's just me relating screaming to pain. Oh dear.
Sylvia (the neighbour's cat) slept with us one last time last night. I'm afraid she won't be allowed in our house anymore after last night. She's very affectionate and well behave with people but doesn't tolerate other animals. She's like Dr Jekyl and Hyde, according to Alicia (our neighbour). I hope you'll get a chance to meet her and remember her. She's awesome. Full personality. But for now, let's think about getting you healthy first =)

On the blocked nose, it got something to do with humidity level. I don't have that with the boys because I had them in Malaysia and here we have plenty of humidity. With Jazmin, I had them due to the dry weather in U.S. Invest in a humidifier, it helps a lot especially at night when you were sleeping.
On C-section, it is less painful during childbirth, but it's painful after that. With normal childbirth, you will be up and about like a day after delivery. Not C-sect where you need time to recover from the INCISION (have someone cut your tummy, that can be awful. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!).
For normal delivery, request for epidural - this help a lot. I took that during Jazmin. You still have to go through the normal contraction until just the right time to administer the drug. But you are only numb waist downward so you are awake the entire proceeding. You don't want to miss this wonderful moment regardless the inconvenient.
Attend La Maze class, it will help you to control your pain during contraction. Have Mr K. by your side during childbirth will be a great comfort and he will appreciate you more as mom after seeing what it takes to bring another being into the world.
I believe you can do it.
It'll be years before I can pass my wisdom on this matter to Jazmin, but it's a comfort to share this with my baby cousin.
Hopes in any small way it can help you to go through this fantastic moment of your life.
Enjoy your pregnancy.
