Tired Day and Koda

What en eventful day yesterday was. And how tired was Mommy! Geez.

Introducing.. Koda! Sleeping at a very awkward position after the long flight journey. She's on my lap actually and purring ever so loudly! And I thought I only have to deal with Daddy's snores, eh? =) So far she always asks for my hands (both!) to put her to sleep. She looks and thinks Daddy is her playmate. She's a tortie coloured British Shorthair just reached 4 months old. We've yet to take more photos. Will do soon! Her flight was delayed half an hour and another half an hour to get her sorted then off we go to get her harness and leash. After few sniffles and investigation around the house, as any kitten/cat usually is, she's finding ways to take the harness off. Luckily she's still a baby and adapts after few hours. At the moment she's sleeping on my lap. She's so small! Sylvia was not in sight since yesterday. Probably she's grounded for not returning home few nights before. Anywayy... back to the baby!

Mommy fell asleep in the car few times when it was only 12pm! She also couldn't keep her eyes open at the market. So we quickly grab some fresh fruits and veges then head off for some light lunch. Oh where she found this preggie mom section clothes on sale! Ok she puts it in the basket but after few thoughts gave it up (honestly!!) Well, it's still too early to shop for maternity clothes plus the weather's still cold. Since the top is for winter season and considering I will only be showing my bump most of the summer season, not a very good idea, is it. So we move onto the real stuff. Then we went home where I doze off for half an hour or so before going to the airport.

On Daddyhood
I think Daddy's being very patient and considerate. During lunch, he had ordered a cup of hot chocolate (which he very, very, rarely, once-in-an-even-rare-blue-moon does) because Mommy's staying off Coke (and any other carbonated drinks), tea and coffee. Not that it's necessary. The doc said a cup or two a day doesn't do any harm to you. I just prefer to avoid it if there are other options available. Though she now thinks this will be incredibly hard once summer hits in, to resist the iced cold lemon tea.
Daddy has also been very good handling my ridiculous mood swings! The book I'm reading said at during this period of time, mood swings and irritability increases. And it has cartoons in them a wife yelling at her husband just because he has politely and considerately asked if she wants a cup of tea. Rather funny actually. Ok on my part, I remember we were in the car on a long journey from Hallet Cove and Daddy is quietly thinking to himself while driving, Mommy had started accusing him of trying to pick a fight with her because he's not talking to her and for having a peace of mind. He gave me his "whatt..??" look and bursts laughing (which in turn made me rather annoyed for a while) then quickly realized how irrational she is. Good thing he had laughed though. If he'd said or done anything else, I'm sure it would've turned rather nasty. Well, how was I to know I was already pregnant that day? =p Also, on another occasion she slept on the couch in the living room for half a night and sulked throughout most of the next day just because Daddy didn't tell her he's going to bed first. It turned out half a night because she suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and got scared so she went back into the bedroom and sheepishly asked Daddy her share of the quilt. Ok I didn't know I was preggie that time either. Daddy on the other hand didn't make a big deal about it at all. I also once lash out at Daddy because he got back late. Oh dear. Poor Daddy. The minute he enters the house, my mind starts working which issue to pick a fight on tonight. Even his snores made me so annoyed one night!

But thankfully, now that Mommy knows she's positively a preggie, she couldn't be more happy about it, doing lots of reading and now with little kitty she's pretty much occupied. Though now Daddy constantly tries to convince Mommy that he has mood swings (when he's cranky about something) and suffers fatigue (when he's about to go to bed or wants an afternoon nap) too. I also start noticing and remind myself to cool down when I become unreasonable about something or suddenly get emotional because the pillow fell off the bed.

You should also know that your dear Aunty Along has been helping me with questions and reading this blog frequently. She has posted some dear advises but the one Mommy's very keen to keeping in mind right now is watching lots of movies, go shopping and go on dates with Daddy. Love it! =D

Thanks for the note on Auntie Along.

Tired, mood swing, sweet tooth, pretty much will be in abundance for the next 9 months.

Not much tips for today. Just reading through.
