Mommy's Recovery

3 days ago half of my bandage hung out from my belly. Your Daddy cut it off for me. Today before shower, another quarter hung out so with a hand mirror, I slowly and gently possible peeled it out from my belly. You really can't see any scar. Just a very very (and I mean, very) thin, pink line from one end to another. If I look closely, only then I'd be able to tell where one end starts and ends. Couldn't be happier. Good job, Dr Bradbury!

Yesterday I sneezed. I also noticed I laughed differently. Unconsciously, my body's adjusting and is aware of pain so I hardly notice these happenings. Today I coughed, sneezed and laughed normally. I do feel sore and pin-prickly pains from the insides of my abdomen. I suppose that's from the inner stitches healing.

So it took me 3 weeks to fully recover from the outside. I still have another 3 weeks before I can drive. I also still walk a little slower than usual. I support myself before getting up from bed or couch or any sitting position. I still hold my scar sometimes when I walk. Feels much comfortable that way =)
